Oh my lord it's finally ready! :)

When I first received this Tamjets Turbine F-16 1/8th Scale, it was promised as "RTF". What I received had to be vastly redone in every respect. Things I fixed...

1) All new door hinges/rams/airlines (they were falling apart)
2) New retract struts as they were worn completely out
3) New mounts for the thrust pipe (and a new pipe for the Rabbit 100)
4) Replumbed the entire fuel system with new fuel lines and new fuel fixtures
5) Replaced all air valves with electronic valves
6) Reinforced some areas near the retracts that had worn
7) Replaced the UAT with a CAT system (UAT was leaking)
8.) All new wires for every electronic component.
9) Major repairs on broken and cracked fiberglass including repainting damaged areas
10) New Jet Central Rabbit 100 Turbine

I also added working cockpit screens and a full navigation lighting system. I was thrilled to find out that even with all of these changes and improvements, the jet still came out at 18.5 Pounds dry which according to Tam is WELL within acceptable flight levels and weight. And being pushed by the 22-23 pound Rabbit 100 she should be a rocket.

I'm kind of proud of the internal area below the cockpit. I completely scratch built everything in that area to replace the ugly wood that was used before. Everything is labelled and well organized with the balance coming out perfect. All batteries can be charged and balanced directly without having to remove a thing. All in all I think it looks like it's fresh from the factory floor and hopefully flys as well. Thanks for looking and see you in Princeton!

Here is a video where you can see the working cockpit screens

Ya Paul I should have specified that I bought it used from RCU. Last time I'm doing that. It was a bloody mess when it arrived. I guess one persons "RTF" isn't the same as anothers.

Oh the gong...Kev sent me a picture of it. All I need is more pressure! LOL.

Man, I hate to think what would happen to me if I dared to set up a jet in the kitchen, even for a second...

I am one of those blessed guys who has a girlfriend who not only allows it...but encourages it! I fired up the Rabbit 100 out in the yard today in the jet for the first time. Uneventful and what a fantastic engine. No leaks and no problems. She's officially good to go. =)

Real MEN set thier jets up on the kitchen counter!

I had my Ultra Lightning set up on the coffee table before it got moved to the pool table.
