Hinges...I had one break tonight...help ???

I had a CA hinge break tonight on one of my elevator halves.
Luckily I discovered it on the ground before it became a far greater problem.

Anyway, I am looking for recomendations on hinges.
The plane is a 10 -12 pound biplane. I use throws up to 40 degrees throw occasionally during differeent maneuvers.
Should I just use CA hinges again ?
Or upgrade to a Robart style?

Hi

If one has broken how much life do you think the rest might have?

I would upgrade them.
It never hurts to upgrade to better hinges.

You will need to cut the others out in order to repair it anyway.
If you don't upgrade you will likely spend a lot of time worrying when another hinge is going to break.

That's my 2 cents worth on the hinges.

Good luck

Yeah, I was just thinking do a slice and drill for the smaller Robart sized hinge. Should be quick and safe. I think there was a movie called the Quick and the Dead or somethin with cowgirls?
