Nice Scott. Keep practicing and you'll be going faster and more daring. Don"t be afraid to take some risks, very easy to fix if you hit anything. Seems like just props and a few sheared bolts.

Oh, fur sure... except, I'm down to only 3 m3 standoff's, to use as bolt to hold her together if I separate the plates again... and the only 5030R props I have left are 4 - 4½" ones that I recovered and re-balanced. Waiting for shipments to arrive, but too windy today anyway.

Nice gizmo... Does it fly? What FC are you using? Any videos?

Re: Multirotor Pictures and Videos

Thanks.
No videos yet but I'm planning on it. I put a gimbal on it for that reason.
I'm running a KK2.1 board with factory settings. It seems to fly pretty good however I've only flown it for a total of 5 minutes in my front yard (between crashes). I plan on a bunch more flying time in the near future to get a better grasp of how to do it.
I notice you're in Mississauga. Are there any flying clubs around that I could visit for some advice?
Thanks

Re: Multirotor Pictures and Videos

I've only used the forums for support... I think the KK2 board, you probably want to search around on RCGroups... aside from PID settings, etc, you just want to make sure cg is good and all of your ESC's and motors are in A1 shape.
Cheers.

Wings of Wellington Field - with some dandelions thrown in

Shot from a DJI 550 Hexcopter with hero 3 black GoPro and 2 axis gimbal. Cyberlink power director edited.
About a minute in you will see I am flying downwind and stirring up the dandelions. The Velcro on the hexcopter was coated with them when I landed.
Chasing shadow of the copter at 2:30.
Pretty windy at times - you can see the tarps snapping in the pits about 30 seconds into the video. I am pleased with this setup - just got it all working together.

Re: Multirotor Pictures and Videos

Hi
Using stock blades and motors. I let the Naza upgrade when it feels the need. Have not noticed any problems either way. Not sure if it is at 4.02 right now - folks having problems with it?
It is a very stable platform - I trust it to fly smoothly very low at high speeds as you can see in the video.

Cheerson CX-20, 808 #16 on velcro.

Have a brrushless gimbal but 808 is way too light so I'm doing small test flights while waiting for SJ4000 to arrive.
