Flash CA no longer imported?
I was at the LHS the other day buying some glue and hinges and have just started using "Flash" CA. I think it works fine, but I was informed by the HS that they will no longer have that brand available because there is no French on the label.
I don't see a problem with that but our government does. I hope Flash just puts on a sticker and sends it here. No offense to our francophone members, but this is one dumb law.

I agree that it is frustrating for the consumer when a product is pulled from the shelves, but there are reasons why this law exists. The "preservation of culture" philosophy will cause heated debates until the end of time and I don't care to discuss that. What is far more logical and important is that all consumers get the proper usage and warning information, especially with a product that is potentially harmful... like CA glue. If CA wants the Canadian market, they'll comply. Is it worth a special label to reach 10% of the North American market? I'd guess yes and I expect that you'll see the label change eventually. The real question is... Will the label laws eventually be updated to include the other 11% of our citizens? They might need to use fine print! Laugh. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_Canada

Re: Flash CA no longer imported?
Hi Guys,
Might want to let your LHS know that our glue comes from the UK and is distributed throughout the world. Our products carry english, french, german and I beleive, italian labeling. And they're darn good products too! Chris
