R/C Combat Video Challenge

Hi All,

Wow! In one year, it is amazing what you can do Now !

This is last years video: https://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/showthread.php?t=115345

Great job by 'Tech1', without his cameraman ! Beautifully done.

It worked out great last year. Zero problems keeping in our 'Combat Box', with plenty of safe room for a camera heli.

The goal is to 'capture' some great photos/video of our R/C Scale Combat from above. (Most photos/videos are from the ground, with only sky behind)

If you would consider this challenge, PM me.

I am CD of the 'Onslaught over Ontario' which will be held mid October at Cobble Hills (20min. East of London Ontario ) See the Combat section here on RCC.

I/we will assure you safe flying for your machines.

Take care,
Have fun,
Dave'crosscheck'Fallowfield

P.S. It will be really hard to get our 80mph WW2 Fighters on Y-Tube !

Re: R/C Combat Video Challenge

Hi All,

The date for this years' Onslaught over Ontario R/C Scale Combat Match is Sunday, November 20th. (Do not worry about weather !) At Cobble Hills.

East of London, see the Combat forum here on RCC for details.

If anyone wants to try aerial photography, they are more than welcome to join us... (And we know you are getting really great at it !

As CD, I can guarantee a safe 'area' for any camera planes/helis.

Our 'Combat Box' we fly in, will hopefully be below your cameras !

Be the first to capture Maac WW2 Scale Combat on Y-Tube !
From Above ! ! !

Take care,
Have Fun,

Re: R/C Combat Video Challenge

You want to recruit a guy with a quad copter and GPS position hold autopilot feature. FPV with pan/tilt

Watch the pan/tilt following my heli at the 7:00 (and beyond) mark

http://www.youtube.com/user/odam2k?g.../6/naOGR-Td92o

If you can get someone like this guy to hover/hold over top of the action, that would be amazing!!!

Re: R/C Combat Video Challenge

Hi Max,

Come out and have fun with us !

We will be at the London Swap Meet, at a table building a coro fighter in 4 hrs !

And show off our latest 'mounts/beasts' ready for Nov.20th...

Most of us have been enjoying Maac Scale Combat for years (This will be the 10th Onslaught I have CD'd) All of us would/could take pictures, but prefer the flying inside the 'Combat Box' with/against each other !

It is totally amazing how 'flying video' keeps evolving. It was a joy last year to fly with 'tech1' for all of us. A very talented artist/pilot.

The Maac WW2 Scale Combat "Video from Above" Challenge is still open !

Did I mention that the Onslaught is sponsored by a Brewery?

Take care,
Have fun,

Re: R/C Combat Video Challenge

I hope to be coming to the LSW this weekend, but I have my kids this weekend (divorced) so I might have to stay home this weekend. But that just means we will be doing FPV flying instead. That's not too bad, is it?

Dave: I am up for the aerial video challenge. My kids and I are experimenting with a Co-pilot FPV system. I dont have a quad heli but plan on using a big floater plane to slowly circle the field while the co-pilot uses a pan/tilt system on a separate radio to keep the camera on the action at all times. Wait a minute. I just realized I could do this on a big-ass 60 heli as well. I can hover it while the co-pilot keeps the camera on the action. Hmmm... I think it will work!!

Re: R/C Combat Video Challenge

Hi Max,

Sounds Great !
(Sorry for not catching your post earlier, my spare time has been spent building/repairing/getting ready for the Onslaught)

Whatever you want to fly, plane/heli. We can work it out. Last year, tech-1's heli was very easy. He flew either side of the flightline. Lots of flying room at Cobble Hills.

We show up 9AM. Ten till 11 or so, we have fun with our WW1s. Then test fly our WW2s/have lunch (BBQ experts!) Then, around 12:30, there is 6 Rounds of WW2. (Fast/Furious/And FUN!) We are done flying by 3PM, packed up and rolling home by 4:30.

The kids of all of our ages enjoy it. Tell your non-co-pilot kid, we need someone to light off the start/stop combat fireworks ! ! !

What frequencies do you need?
I will PM you my ph#
(My glue has dried by now, back to building !)

Take care,
Have fun,
