Apache 57" Hull buildup

I have a 57" apache hull with complete top secret running gear and everything else to complete it but this is my first build and i was wondering what ideas people had on how to drill motor mount holes and other holes in the rails after fiberglassing the rails in. ALL info is very appreciated. Thanks

Re: Apache 57" Hull buildup

Don't know if this will help any:
1. Measure twice before u drill once ... secure the boat good so it doesn't move when u are drilling (people forget about side pressure and u end up with a hull on the floor)
2. We make a cardboard template of mount spacing to ensure same on both sides
3. We use a right angle (air) die grinder and bits made to fit the 1/4" collet, u can also get a Dremel tool (electric) that has a right angle attachment (check hardware stores [usually cheaper than hobby stores])
4. We are lucky to live close to a Princess Auto store (check them out if u live near one)

To keep the stringer clean looking we tape them off before we start and mark on the tape so we don't leave pencil or felt pen marks on stringer wood

Good Luck and take ur time
