DX2/3 Replacment antenna
Just an FYI:
If you are silly enough to break your antenna on the DX2/3 and don't feel like returning it to Horizon to be repaired. Here is a PERFECT replacement part that you can order from digikey: PN 730-1004-ND and it's $23.65 plus shipping/taxes. Instructions: Remove screws and open both halves of transmitter. Remove the old broken antenna from the PCB (the connector just pulls off the board) Remove the antenna from the one half of the case by squeezing on the two small tabs. Pull the antenna out from the hole in the case. Install new antenna in opposite order of removal. Just be careful the connector is very small and delicate. *NOTE* When installing the new antenna cable make sure the wire is positioned just right so that when both sides come together it doesn't get caught anywhere it shouldn't! |
