Heres one for ya....

OK, i bought a couple brand new HItec 5995 servo's for the aileron's on my 2.6 Yak, i had 5645's in for radio setup and control set-up and swapped them out for the big guys when i recieved them, here's the problem, when i try and use the programmed mix i.e channel 1 and 7 for my ailerons, the servo's start acting stupid, the jitter and jerk and won't hold position with even the slightest pressure on them, if plugged into a non slaved or mixed set-up they are great. i tried them on my brothers JR radio and they work fine on a mix, My original 5645's worked with teh mix, but the 5945 and the 5995's won't. Has anyone else run into this? i called Hitec and futaba and they both must think i am nuts, any ideas guys? the servo's are brand new, and teh radio is like a year old, just womdering if there is a compatability issue with teh 59XX series and Futaba, and before anyone says throw them away and buy Brand X, i don't want to hear it. Thanks for any help on this one i am stumped
Bill

Come to think of it, I had a problem a few years ago, with trying to Y two 5945's with an older Airtronics PCM receiver. It worked fine with an FM receiver or all my Hitec receivers...

So there may be something with the Futaba/Hitec thats similar to mine.

Have you tried resetting the programming ?

I've had that problem with both Futaba and Hitec servoes. Clean all your connections with a good contact cleaner and ensure your plugs are inserted all the way.

I think that some servo and servo extension manufactuers aren't gold plating there connectors any longer and are more prone to corrosion. You are probably getting just enough of a voltage drop for the servo to act goofy on the servo extension.

servo's

Thanks guys, I am not using any y connectors at all, or extensions, i thoughtt that might have been it so i eliminated that problem, i am thinking it is a compatability isssue with the servo's and Futaba recievers when using a Mix funstion.

I ran into that problem only I used them a dozen times and now one is acting up like that, I can't figure out what is wrong with it either. The one I am having trouble with is the throttle servo, it just jitters a little back and forth, even with all the linkages off of it. I have no idea but think it has something to do with water getting inside it but I can't see that... I am stumped too.
