Out of the 60 plus orders i now have at hobbyking, i figure i have save about 5 to 6 thousand dollars. I would 2 batteries instead of 20. So for a little bit of hassle of waiting, and just not ordering stuff until in comes into stock, i will continue to save lots of money. If you dont want to order from hobbyking, then dont. We arent making you buy stuff from there.

Re: Another reason to not buy at HobbyKing

Placed an order on the 15th, it arrived today. Everything was there, nothing damaged and was well-packaged. That's better service than I've had from some NA companies, hobby-related or not.

But then, I was careful to only order items that were in-stock at the time of sale.

Re: Another reason to not buy at HobbyKing

I purchased a DLE-55, waited for my in stock email notification and placed the order, the shipping was faster than getting something from the US... I believe it was like 4 days

For me my email is tied in to my iphone.... order as soon as you get the email

Would I buy from HK again.... you bet.

Re: Another reason to not buy at HobbyKing

i would say i have spent $3500-4000 with HK and i will continue to do so. There is no way that i would have got into the hobby without HK. the rate that i trashed gear when i was learning was not funny but these days its different

Re: Another reason to not buy at HobbyKing

I think some information was missing from the original post. If you cancel only one item, or it's discontinued, out of a multi item order then they won't credit the difference in shipping cost but if you cancel an entire order then yes, you'll get it all back (or credit anyway).

While I have made a few orders from HK (about 12) I typically only buy batteries there. If the NA companies, especially maxamps, would stop charging such high markups they would keep some business.

true but them you also need to pay shipping on the next order as you can't use store credits on freight. Better to have them refund to CC if you dont want to spend more money

Re: Another reason to not buy at HobbyKing

I can think of many reasons/excuses not to buy from any hobby store, but still continue anyways. Every place I buy from, LHS, or online all have issues of some sort, but we just work them.
Quite whining, and shop where you want, to what you feel is your best option.
