What a change from last weekend got a sun tan and several flights in. This May long weekend snow and blowing winds. Who would have thought that much of a change in 7 days. If the weather is good in your area enjoy.
Cheers Don

Re: Not so sunny Alberta

Wow. I can't believe there are places getting snow still! We've had super warm temps in Ottawa all spring! Not to rub it in, but it's clear, sunny, and will be 27 today. We're supposed to get near 30 all week.

I'm going to check out the warbird event at our local club later on, I think.

Re: Not so sunny Alberta

I'm aiming for Monday to get my Escapade finished and test-flown. Friday was a family wedding (duaghter's #2), Saturday was dog-park and yardwork, today might be finishing the model and more house work.

HOwever, the guys out in ALberta are getting the worst of this year's May Two-Four

Re: Not so sunny Alberta

except for the campers, I think most of us in Alberta likely agree this is the best May LWE we've had in 7 or 8 years of near drought conditions,......cool temps and over an inch of rain, the crops, trees and forest fire guys love it....this in addition to the 3" - 4" of moisture we got in late April.....it's been a great spring....Ron

Yeah.. with yesterday's wind I only managed a couple of flights with my estarter as the sun went down. With that plane it is slow enough to let go the sticks long enough so that I can swat the black flies as they attack!

This morning just came in from three good flights with the RC Universe 3D bipe in the thick muggy incoming fog. Also it started to get a bit too breezy so I had to head off to get a Timmies before I broke it - again!

Have a good long weekend folks.

CP

Re: Not so sunny Alberta

I have to work all weekend anyhow (but at least I can access rccanada!! )

I have Tuesday off and hope to head out to the field to maiden my Cub, but the way the weather's been lately there's no guarantee...I would welcome some rain but not the blustery conditions.

Re: Not so sunny Alberta

As long as I can remember there has been snow here on May Long, My wife and I even got our wedding pictures taken outside in the snow.. but the professional photographer did a good job of not getting too much of the white stuff in the pictures..

They wind has died down a bit here today, so I might get a flight or 2 with the electrics today.
