These guys are fresh out of the academy and will see action over Oakville. I'll make one for the prize table too. Over the years I've tried a few different methods of making pilots; carved foam, layered latex, split molds. Got the best results with Model Magic. It's about $6 for a package of white and that's enough to make over a dozen 1/8 scale busts. I use 4 colours of acrylic paint; flesh tone, light green (or light blue), dark brown and light brown, about $2 each for a small bottle. A couple of quality paint brushes, including a tiny one completes the kit. Give it a try, an ugly pilot is better than no pilot at all.

Ken
My DVII is based on the plan in the MAAC scale combat website. If it's a good flier there might be some plans in the future. This one isn't coming together as easily as I'd hoped.

Gary: You have too much time on your hands, the Williams brothers plastic ones are cheap and good enough when you can recycle them. At least in our game the pilot doesn't actually die.

See you in the spring.......
