logictech gyro?

I'm going to be putting together a raptor titan in about a month and was planning to go with the gy401/9254 combo, but yesterday someone on helifreak suggested considering the logictech 6100 combo. Does anybody have any experience with this gyro? I've seen the video finless did for helifreak is all. Also, does anybody know of somewhere in Canada to pick one up? So far all I've only found it in heliproz.com. Thanks.

I have only seen it available at HeliProz as well... I dont have any experience with the Logitech, but everything I have read seems to be positive.

I've been reading a lot about this gyro on RR, and have read nothing but positive comments about it. People compare the performance to the 611, and some have said even better!! It is cheaper and a more compact unit. I'm definately gonna give that gyro a good look to put on my predator max. If you are in the market for a 401/9254 combo, I think you'll pay about $100 more, so you have to decide it it's worth it to you.

What servo does the T6100 come with? If you have to buy a good digital servo for it, then I do not think it fair to compare it to the 401/9354 combination.

That would make it more in the price range of the 611, so I would expect it to perform in that catagory.

It is kind of hard to beat the price/performance of the 401 gyro with the 9354 servo combination.

Now if the T6100 with the proper servo is priced like a 611 (which comes with its' own special high frame rate servo) then I would have difficulty justifying it over the 611.

That is just because I know Futaba will be here for years to come. But I have seen a number of HH gyro companies come and go over the years. When they disappear, they render the equipment of theirs that you own, unsaleable.

Where as the GY611 is $440 (canadian), the logictech 6100 is $290 (american) from heliproz, and comes with its own high speed servo.

Logictech is rated @ 0.05s 4.5kg-cm and 9256 @ 0.06s 3.4kg-cm

Logictech can be purchased from www.powerhobby.com for around $250

I have logictech one one stratus and 611 on the other. The piroflip on logictech is very similar and easier to maintain than the one with gy611. It feels more like doing it on a sim. I have not figured out why yet.

I actaully believe it or not agree with Phil here. This Logitec gyro is decent but at the cost of customer service if it craps the bed on you. I have had different Futaba gyros sent in cause I crashed them or wanted them to look at them and have always had them back quickly without a charge or ever an issue. I have always been "very" satisfied with their product and service. If you pooch this Logitec one, how much hassle to get a repair or replacement....? Something to think about anyways.

I have been tempted to due to the price but the service hang up bothers me...

That is the big ? at the moment. I hope I don't have to deal with it. However, I had a cracked amp on my 611 and I was hoping they would give me a break on just the amp. I had to spend $275 on replacement of the whole as they do not sell parts separate.

Has anyone that you know of actually had bad experiences with logitech? I agree that futaba is in our "comfort zone", but who's to say that logitech is not striving to do the same? I think we all don't want to be the guinea pig on this, but based on customer reviews so far it looks good.
