funny neither have I but I don't fog my airplane motors ,I don't see how you can fog a motor till it stalls and then get it to run again 5 min later never mind next year not no mention the more obvious danger of doing something like that on a engine with a spinning prop. Roger

Let's see if I can explain it for Ya!

Fuel drawn at a predetermined rate to create proper run mix by vacuum through carb.

Spray tube of storage oil placed in carb throat, nozzle depressed slowly until engine stops because the air fuel ratio no longer supports combustion.

When you start it again there is no storage oil being sprayed into the carb and the air fuel mixture is correct. If you have spark the engine will run though it may smoke for a bit until the storage oil has been flushed out.

I shouldn't have to explain this to anyone who has a basic knowledge about internal combustion motors and the principals on how they work.

What safety concerns would there be. Plane is secured so it cannot move. Access to the carb is open; cowl removed if necessary and the aerosol can of storage oil is well behind the arc of the prop and fed into the throat of the carb through the supplied tube.

Like I said this is a common storage method that I grew up with and it works for me. Use what you want no one cares. If you did a bit of research there are many different ways to store and internal combustion engine using the storage or fogging oils sold by the same companies that sell the engines be it boat, bike, snowmobile what have you.

A few links that may shed some light on your misconceptions.

PS: Since I use Amsoil oil I also use thier fogging spray as well. Same product no chance of any type of reactions from incompatable additives.

Re: After run oils in gasoline engine's

Many new sources are added that would make the engines work. Hence any fuel can be used nowadays.
