Dx6i DSMX failure.

Anyone else have to send in there mid 2011 DX6i Spektrum? Unit was working great one day, next day it won't bind to anything. Tried a different antenna, and still no love. Also how have your warranty claims been with HH? Does the boarder cause major headaches when shipping these units to and from the US?

Serial starts with HO108.

Thanks,
Sirb3nt

Re: Dx6i DSMX failure.

HH support has been great for me. Border has never been a problem. They stamp wananty repair on the package. I was charged duty byu accident once. Filed a claim and got a refund in no time.

Re: Dx6i DSMX failure.

I sent a failed 8711 (1) servo in and it got replaced. Good on them. However they put on the customs declaration two (2) with a value of $399! I got hit for $60 HST. What a pain in the you know what. How this happened I have no idea. The C.D. should have indicated N/C repaired/replaced item.

H.H. offered me a $60 coupon for a proprietary product. I would rather have a letter indicating they screwed up so I could try and get my $60 back.

Also make sure they do not send the item back to you via anything other than USPS. UPS charges us an absolute rip off brokerage fee. That really bugs me.

Re: Dx6i DSMX failure.

So do you have the choice as to which Shipper HH uses. I've ordered plenty of stuff from the US but always make sure the seller sends USPS. Also do you have to pay for the shipping to and from on warranty items?

Re: Dx6i DSMX failure.

I sent my JR 12X in and got it back via UPS with the correct value but it was labeled warranty repair/upgrade so no duty or taxes were charged. Just make sure when you make the claim that you state that you want warranty repair placed on the declaration.

For shipping cost, sometimes they pay both ways but will usually pay to ship back.
