What to say,

I'm in too !!!

After seem Paul my scale mentor going wild with his WildCat the other day at MRCC, and for my part going wild while photoshooting what Paul had to give me as flying figures all day, I final took the decision to have this type of fighter aircraft from the Pacific war in my collection.

As Paul mention to me this summer,
You'll need a aircraft to fly with pleasure so you could handle in no fears your new Mitchell by next year.

Will post as soon as I can the photos of my making and flying !
Got the 3 bladers props and will make some small detail's on
the fuse too ...

Then later, Paul and I could fly formation and go for the
Emperial Jap's Zero Kill's together ...

Woohoo!

Sunday,
I when to the store to pick up my F4F Wildcat from ParkZone.
And also got my self a 3 blades prop to fly it.

After the store pick up, my mentor Paul wanted me to go to his home so he could put it up together for me. Was a real ball seeing my buddy doing that with fun. He is a master builder so it was cool !

As he as one already and was a breeze for him to fix it for me.

Thanks Buddy ,,, and also, he as donate me the dommy Nav lights a pitot tube a antenna that goes behing the canopy and some devise to reproduce the (6) 12/7 machine gun's that will be inplant as a for 3 on eachside wings front edges.

I will also go pick up today as it's already in,
a (E-Flight ESC 30A) and a Battery (E-Flight 1800 mah Lipo) to run that 3 blades runner prop.

This week I will detail's the Wildcat and soon it will airborn maiden test
and probably on friday with my Buddy Paul.

I will update as soon as I have new info's to show you buddies ...

They are all amazing little flyer's and handle the wind with ease. I have personally flown them all except that one. Won't be long though

You wont regret that one in your collection Bill.
My buddy fly for near 10 mins mark and even 12 mins and nothing is even hot, (lipo,ESC,motor) ... But you'll need to manage your powerplant with ease and as scale flying route for to have those result's scores.

Should be looking good for to maiden on friday for me ...

Re: F4F Wildcat WWII Pacific

I always take out the 1300 and install 2200 lipo. I don't know how long they fly on this battery because i get tired and land before they run out and generally full power all the time

Bill,
The kit comes with the 1300 lipo's battery and will fly very well with
the 2 prop's blader. As I got the 3 prop's blader for my as my buddy mentor on his Wildcat and been tested on that set-up you can manage if scale routine sorties to get at lease a 10 mins flight time on the logbook.

I will use the 1800mah lipo's on my with the ESC 30A for comfort as it as been already tested by my buddy mentor scale master. It fly, fly, fly and he manage the powerplant as it was a scale flying fighter aircraft. That way you'll have
a scale flying plane and that way all is remaining very cool as motor,ESC,and battery lipo's ...

Many at other forum's are just flying this fighter at full board as power goes.
That way the result mite be a result of motor over heat and so on ...

This F4F is one of the first Pacific fighter that could handle the Emperial Zero's in (1941-42) into a dogfight befort came the Mustang and the
Corsair F4U to finish the job later on. The Wildcat was a slow mover and strongly protected as the structure goes. But it flew awesomely weel and had a very high scores into counting how many Zero's he killed down while in service.

Anyhow,
this F4F Wildcat is something you will enjoy if you go for the scale flying route
and dont push to hard on the powerplant management. It is not a jet, so to be use as it is suppose to be use for. That way you'll enjoy as the real thing from the past hystorical Pacific conflict ...

Re: F4F Wildcat WWII Pacific

Yesterday,

was with my buddy mentor scale master at our club all day.
Did work the detail's on my Wildcat. Did start on the (6) 12/7 gun machine
and add 3 on eachside edges wing. Then I inplant the 2 NAV lights and also add a pito tube on the left wing.

I also started on the top and bottom wing panel lines draw with a black pen and more is to done with some wathering dirt at some fuse location. More is to be done on it in the next coming days ahead.
