just throwin this out there....

I scaled down a Q500 v-tail called "Margarita" (Ed Smith design) to half scale. 26"ws, and bolted on a small brushless motor (EMAX CF2805) that turns a 5.5x5.5 prop, and am powering with a 3s lipo (barely fits!) flying weight is 10.5oz. I am really excited about the test flight and nervouse at the same time. alot of power on a small airframe. all the guts motor and battery cost around 150 bucks...and made my own kit/foam cores. I could probaly get it down to 8-9oz with a built up wing and tail.... fly first, redesign later...

post a few picks of it finished, and will add the pics showing all guts laid out, in the limited room i had!

Re: new Pylon Racing event...maybe

Ken, my Toni fuse is done but still waiting for my cowl/canopy parts to come in! Only half of dads kit showed up... And do I really need practice?! Haha once a speed freak, always a speed freak this vtail is so small, we would need a really small coarse! If the test flights go well, you want some parts to make your own?

Darren, I will report on the intial flights, and Ed lives all but 10 min from me and I havnt seen Him since the summer... No excuses on both of us! Ha he'll probaly want royalties for using his design... Lol
