There are several things that need to be changed that require the use of a backhoe imo. #1 we talked about using sod to build burms (not used in the pic of the cobourg track) and the skid steer will not work for diggin sod.

#2 the part of the hill that our track is on is rediculously hard to dig due to rocks, and the fact that at some point there was pavement on certain parts.

#3 the hill that the "new" addition was made on last year needs to be dug and have a lot of earth moved around.

Our track is not a level track like most tracks, nor do the members want it to be (please correct me if im wrong). Our track is differant, and its not a flat track. because of this and the other thing mentioned, a skid steer just does not have the power or weight to dig what we need.

Back me up here Pat.

Relax Nathan
If all we can get is a skid steer, fine. If your guy can come in with a backhoe, fine as well.
We all agreed, at Pat's house, that a backhoe would be better. Toromont was approached for the use of a backhoe but for whatever reason, they agreed upon a skid steer. Lets just take the bobcat offered to us, stay positive and do the best we can with it.
If you want to get a hold of Pat to make new arrangements you should probably phone him, I have not seen him on here in ages.

.....I am relaxed. I was stating what we had talked about because anyone who was not at our meeting couldn't have known.

I also was not told that anyone asked Toromont about a back hoe, and that they said no.

I'm content with whatever we do even if we do nothing. However to do the things we have discussed in a reasonable amount of time, a backhoe is required.

Nathan

Umm, maybe you should have gone to the meeting. Or did you get the nights mixed up again.

I forgot to mention, the track has dried sufficiently to run on it now. Phil and crew were there Tuesday afternoon.

Hey daiwa,

I will PM you all my notes from the meeting later....

I was talking to Pat and he says that Tormont will give us the skid steer is free for us to use for 4hrs. It will cost us $200 for a backhoe.

We have the skid steer on April 28th at 8am - noon. Everyone that can help please be there at 8am! because we don't have a lot of time with this equipment.

Thanks
