The long walk of shame...
How many of you have had to do the walk of shame? Lets hear your stories.
Here is one from a guy that forgot to turn his plane on. Usually when that happens, its not that far to walk. But when you throw it off a cliff, its going to be a LONG walk of shame!!

I think I learned how to say "Oh Crap" in a new language!
My last walk of shame involved a road trip! |

Re: The long walk of shame...
Forgot to turn on radio on a glider once. Got about 3/4 up the HiStart and the wings folded. The wing that departed the fuse first was a looooooong way across the field.

That reminds me of high school when one guy had a hamburger in one hand and a discus on the other. Well, sure enough, he tossed his burger the furthest that day.

Re: The long walk of shame...
Sooner or later, everyone does something stupid.
My personal "best" was at a fun fly last summer. In my haste & excitement to get airborne, I neglected to install the screw that secures the wing to the fuselage on the ParkZone T-28. Took off fine, but as I turned downwind... yup, you guessed it... the wing decided to go its own way. Heck of a way to introduce yourself to a bunch guys you've never met before! To add insult to injury... I won a bottle of CA at the raffle... |
