.47 GMS vs .46 OS FX Powerwise

I have seen very many OS FX 46 engine and GMS 47 engines and right now I am just wondering which you would use I am looking for the engine with the most power outta the two because I am looking for a enggine for my winter project! This post isn't about money I just want to know which hs more power because I know I can use a 46 engine for alot off diffrent planes and I want te one with the most power! Because 2 guys at the field have had their 46 fx's on tigers and they were a bit sluggish and one said that he didn't like the FX on his tiger and would much ratter his GMS

**Added the money part after the first 2 posts!**

Chris, Just my personel opinion, But spend the extra and buy the OS. In the long run you will be happier I'm sure. I've never had a GMS but do own several OS 2 and four stroke engines and they have been around for a very long time and I think that speaks alot for them. The market would'nt toletate a peice of junk.(OK not for very long anyways )

What about an Irvine 53? Been using mine for a year now and it is one of the sweetest engines I have had in a long time.

What about the new Webra 50? Supposed to ROCK! Thats next on my list of two strokes..

Two often overlooked engines IMO..

But if you have to choose between the two you posted I would also say OS only due to my good luck with them.

Having said that, why not save a few $$'s and get a Thunder Tigre 46, pretty much the same as an OS FX 46 but cheaper.

on something like an engine, expresspost (2 days) is about 7 or 8 bucks.

regular postage (4 to 5 days) about 5 or 6 bucks.

The Thunder Tiger 46 Pro is an absolutely great powerful little engine. The new carburetor has a swept back needle valve that keeps your finger well back of the prop. I have used both OS and TT and dollar for dollar my vote goes to the TT. BTW I presently have 4 of them!

Chris, I dont own one but have experience running them in my friends plane. A nice engine on par with OS easily.
