If it's a ni-cd pack, I wouldn't worry about cut off.
Turn it off on your ESC.

oh ok! well i was programmign the esc and my elevator servo got stuck in postition where a servo shouldn;t be lolthe arm was straight with the case length wise and it over heated i couldn;t touch the casing and i melted my servo gears

sorry about your luck.

The cut off is only needed with lithium batterys. lithium batterys become damaged when discharged to much and may be become dangerous.

plus, you really don't want that cut-off on if you're going to be doing any 3D. Ask me how I know.

ok i baught a battery from hedge hog, a 2s 1200mah lipo e-tec what should i set my cut off for on my esc?

liPo Cutoff

6-volts for s 2S1P or better yet use a timer set it for something like 15 minutes as a starting point. You can adjust up or down depending on what the recharge time is, that is how long it sits on the charger befor its recharged tells you how much of its capacity your flight used.
