After-run oil

Greetings all,

I just come from the Canadian Tired Store, got to be the largest in eastern Canada, St Bruno Mall, near Montreal on the south shore;

They have Marvel Mystery oil on the shelf in 900ml containers for around $9.50

Great stuff for engines and for storage.

What's wrong with WD-40?

I used it to clean a 7.5hp outboard that had been in storage ten years, started first pull.

It's designed for aircraft parts storage.

Marvel oil

Susceptibility is the mother of antagonism.

Its not always the topic that is the kicker but more often how a question is posed or a statement is made that make the issue.

Sorry, I really forgot to aim my promotion of MArvel Mystery Oil against WD-40.

Actually, all I was doing was to let the Marvel oil "lovers" know that it is now available at CT stores. It was really well beyond my remotest thought to even flirt with the notion that I could subtlely drag WD-40 into this promo. and suggest that it should be considered second rate.

I love WD-40 and have a gallon in the shop but GIG-A-LOO is marginally taking over.

Hats off to WD-40...but Marvel Mystery Oil is still available at Canadian Tire Store.

Have a good weekend.

Attaboy Gel Apparently the youngsters are out of the loop regarding the time honored quality products. I first started using MMO in my air tools in the early '70's - when much of today's crowd were nothing more than a lustful thought in a teenager's mind ... and yes, WD40 was there too!!

I been using Marvel in my airplanes since the day i got in the airplane side of things in 1989, and I used it way before then in my rc race boats back in the 70.s also.. Marvel in my opinioin is way better then wd40 for the GLOW side of our hobby

WD40 works great on my pickup truck..LOLOLOL

I first heard of using WD-40 from a friend racing K&B outboards in the early 80's, he did his own re-porting too. Seems to work for me.

I use Jig-a-loo on my minivan locks, WD-40 for my motorcycles, but I prefer Top-Cote for most other aplications.

Where can I buy banana oil?

WD-40 is a fantastic water dispersant, but is gravely lacking in lubricating ability, and is not the best cleaning agent.
Marvel Mystery is much better in this respect.

Marvel oil

I have been told that not all CT carry this product. As a matter of fact there may be few that do carry it. Early part of next week I'll return to CT and get the item number. I will post it for all of you Marvel lovers.

Have a good weekend all
