Colin,

To tell the truth, I don't like toi yell. But if no one yells, alot of people just sit around and chat. I yell, so that the day goes smoothly.

Start times

The start time should be no later than 9:30 with cut off at 9:15,while the list is being printed have the drivers meeting.Tell anybody who is late that they will be in the next round. The clock is a great idea, can't blame anyone for missing a round. There is still a problem with marshalling! The idea is when you finish racing take out your transponder put your car down and go out to the track,IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE CARS ARE OUT THERE OR NOT,your job is to be ready to marshall! It is hard enough to get five or six nitro's running at the same time to start the race let alone waiting for marshalls.AT the two minute mark if the marshalls are not in place they lose their last run! There has been a lot of talk about truggies, geoff had the answer let them run but not for points. And they can not run in the a-main no matter how they placed in the heats. This way they can still play.People who worry about winning all the time are in the wrong hobby!

Darklord,

Who ever you are. I like you! Finally support for my truggy! I just want to have fun with it. Points would be nice, but Its not important.

As for the start time. I think 10am is good, it gives people enough time to get there and practice. And registration cut off by 9:40 is very good too.

Its a good idea to have an announcer to keep the day running smooth. Mike, you do a good job at it. Maybe next time you should have a loud speaker.

I was just going to say a megaphone for him would be perfect. I'd make a donation to support the purchase of one

I, for one, don't like the idea of the Marshalls having to go to the track "right away". I was always aware of the time and never forgot to go to the track when needed (even if Mike didn't yell). I would always go when he yelled just to make him feel like I was listening but I still woulda been there before the race started even if he didn't yell.

The reason I say I don't support it is because I run two electric classes and you guys like to put those back to back. So my day was like so: Race first race --> marshall next race --> race next race --> marshall next race. I needed a little time to switch transponders, put in batteries, put batteries on charger for next race, etc. With races so close together and running electric I couldn't just go right to the track after my race. However, I understood that the importance of marshalling is more than my getting everything done so I would drop everything to be at the track before the race starts.

I think there should simply be a 1-2 minute warning shout for Marshalls. "Last call for Marshalls! Person A, B, C, D, and E are Marshalling this round!" Something to that effect. Mike did great.

I have an issue with running a car in a points series class, that is not in the series. If someone had a good run going and they tangle with the non-series car.....etc...etc

Before truggies had thier own class they were run with the vehicles they most ressemble, 1/8 buggies. Go ahead run them with the 1/8 buggies... I don't support running them in a points series class, even if it doesn't count. Sorry Chris, just my honest opinion. Also guys, realize that this is just an opinion, just because I said it doesn't mean that is the way it is.

ALl this discussion took place and was hashed out a week or more ago, these points should have been brought to the table then.

Darkie....(hehehehe) I agree with you on the mashal issue. Here is the thing, the race should be able to start as soon as all the vehicles hit the track. THis is not possible if the marshalls are not there.

Just my $.02......

The emails I have recieved all support an earlier start time. Everyone here supports and earlier start time.

Now, how early. Most common time mentioned is 10am. For the smart racer that arrive an hour early, this means being at the track for 9am. If a 3 hr drive, leave home at 6am.

I am not sure if much earlier than that would be recieved well, but it is up to you guys.

If we ae to implement this for New Glascow, we need to decide today, so that fair warnign can be given to all racers, and he track owner.
