Just finished this kit and I thought I would share. Not the easiest thing I have ever built (never built anything that wasn't a solid wing before). Wing turned out perfectly square, engine mount and tail are a bit off but I think it will be fine. Was a fun build. I really had to think to figure it out, the 1/2a skyray I built last year had substantially more detailed instructions.

I made a couple copies as I figure I'm going to have few crack ups with this machine. Still hunting for some true le te balsa to complete the copy planes. It took me more time to make the copies than build the kit, but I enjoyed it.

I traced all the parts and would be happy to scan and email a copy of the templates should any one like to scratch build from them. Just sent me a smoke signal and I'll fire them your way.

Re: Jr. Satan Share

I always redesign the leading edge of the ribs to accept square stock at 45 degrees to keep weight down, and save the effort of carving. If you are buying a kit, keep in mind that the Russian type FAI planes are about $50, and covered and pretty much ready to go. They fly much better than a Satan even with an average .15 like an LA.

Re: Jr. Satan Share

Yah i cant wait to get this thing in the air and have fun flying it. Good to here possitive things about it.

I like the idea of using square balsa to shape the LE on the copies. Probably easier than trying to cut some what accurate slots in the pre-made ones you can get, thanks. Would not take take too much effort to cut some triangles out of the ribs. Im curious what these russian combat rigs look like. Ill have to do some googling. Im sure this kit is going to rock everything else i have ever flown (extremely limited; lil wizard, manwing and flying cox plastic brick).

http://aerohobby.ca/store/index.php?...b04cd576fdb0e0 This guy sells them. You have to buy a box of them though. Motors too. Very quick ones. The Satan is pretty good for the day. You will have fun.
