Brushless motor shaft question?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I use a Feigao 13turn BL motor, and when I bought it, there was no slop in the shaft at all. Now, after about 20 flights or so (no crashes), when I pull gently on the shaft, there is about 1/16" or less of play back and forth (in and out) of the motor. Is this normal? It's not direct-drive, everything is meshed nicely and lines up in the gearbox.

Thanks.

Okay, Thanks. That's what I was planning on anyway! Everyhting seems okay in flight, great little motor. Just seems to get a bit warm. It's rated for 18 Amps max. My wattmeter indicates 12.5 Amps WOT with my gear and prop setup pulling my Formosa. Just wondering if the temps are related to the bit of 'slop' in the motor!!

Thanks anyway,

Marc
