Listen to the boys. They're right.

1. Many helicopters do not like smooth, hard, slippery surfaces and can resonate like that - or worse.

2. You indicate your blades are pre-balanced? Unless they're Rotortech's or the equivalent quality (not many are), they are not pre-balanced. Balance them.

3. Hover the helicopter. Fly it off the lawn if you're uncomfortable with the spool up shake.

4. You can power it up and down like that 'till you're blue in the face, as many times as you like but, will never figure anything out.

Does anyone else see the problem with this statement?

Why would you think the blades are balanced from the factory?
Get yourself some tape, razor blades, and a beer or two.
Check the tracking after you have perfect static balance.

Re: the ultimate pitch curve?

I always check the balance of my blades regardless of the fact they are supposed to be factory balanced. I check the CG and the weight and make sure both blades are the same. I also weigh both paddles as well. I have had blades that were supposed to be factory matched and they were not.
I also use a balancer like the Dubro one to check the rotor head without then with the blades. I will admit though that after making sure both blades match I sometimes fly the heli with the blades and if there are no vibrations I skip using the balancer. But only if everything is running smooth. If there is even the smallest vibration the head goes on the balancer.

Re: the ultimate pitch curve?

Just cause they say they are balanced does not mean they are period. I have bought several high quality brand named blades and found more then a few pairs out of balance that required being weighted, ie: tape etc at the COG point so lets not all believe what they "say" do check, it does not take much effort to ensure this.

Re: the ultimate pitch curve?

I'll second what the other guys are saying. rotortechs and radix blades claim the balance at the factory, and they match their blades very well.

Align also claims they're balanced along with every other blade manufacturer out there. I've seen the 325 woodies out more than a gram from one blade to the next though. That is a LOT for 325s.

Balance the blades. Especially if they're an off brand. If balancing the blades doesn't do it, then start balancing everything that spins. A fuselage is not a spinning part, and can't cause a vibration, so switching it out won't do you any good.

Cool

You I believe, I have difficulty believing the seller.
I would get out the razor knife and test them at least.
