Two BIG thumbs up for DRACO!

WOW! - I test flew my DRACO last night and this puppy is a real winner - Draco is a huge giant step in the evolution of open Combat.

With a FX.25 this plane cruises very happily at 1/2 throttle. Its very stable and flys hands off. I didn't have the nurve too go full throttle yet.
It turns on a dime and its roll rate is very fast. The 44" wingspan is purfect for the .25 size engine. The planes wing loading is very light - When the engine quit - Draco just kept on gliding it took a long long time to get back down. Almost all my other combat planes where bricks compared to Draco.

Ensure you paint the bottom and top opposite type colors for better visability.

Awsome airplane, I think mine was one of the first 10 built. I built it with a 56" span with a .25 and it still flys very fast. It is in need of repairs at the moment though, had a mid air with my friends dogfighter which snapped my spar and knocked off one of the wing tip fins.

One thing I did with mine to eeze hand launching was I bought a cheap aluminum door handle and bolted it to the bottom of the motor mount, acts as a landing skid too.

This picture was taken on one of its first flights last spring.
