I don't know if you are aware that a full size very accurate replica was built and flown extensively. Unfortunately the pilot was killed and the airframe lost in a crash in Yellowstone National Park. There is a comprehensive website of that effort at

http://www.wrightools.com/hughes/

They did full CAD drawings, so if you are serious about a scale model I am sure they would help you.

The orignal H1 is at the National Air and Space museum in Washington DC. I doubt if they have detail drawings, but they might. They have a formal request procedure that's inexpensive or free and they will respond in time with a list of what they have. I have ordered microfilm from them of blueprints for production aircraft like the P-38 and the T-50, but doubt they would have that detail on the Hughes racer. Wouldn't hurt to ask. You can start that process at

Another source, often overlooked, is just buying a plastic model kit.

There is a set of R/C model plans available at

http://www.fly-imaa.org/imaa/IMAAads...miscplans.html

but I'm not sure who drew these, when, or how accurate they are. They can always be re-sized to your requirement if not the scale you like.

Hope this helps.
