But DA does exceptional service and usually always look after the customer. To be fair part of our delay is the shipping to and from which is not DA's fault and we could speed that up if we paid for it.

I feel bad for AMR - they try so hard to look after their customers and poor Michel bangs his head against the wall with slow response from ZDZ. And other times, ZDZ responses quick and parts are here.

One company I was astonished with was Valach - insanely fast service!! I had a base gasket that sweated a bit. Michel called Valach and within 2 days he had a new gasket set. Again, just one example, but it was impressive!!
I have never been any kind of a dealer for anything, DA or otherwise. I just call and say I want to order yada yada yada and they send it.

As for Michel I feel for him too. He has gone for months at a time with no contact with ZDZ. Very frustrating, especially when he has customers calling wanting to know what is going on.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Sorry Doug - I thought years ago you were a DA dealer. My bad! Good on you to just be able to order parts. You may be getting a few PM's in the future, LOL

Yep - So hit and miss. Poor John has been waiting for months for his ZDZ112. Other times, Michel has had parts in under a week. Sure is frustrating for the customer... can only imagine Michel's blood pressure, LOL

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Don't get me wrong. Not blaming AMR or any of the middleman dealing ZDZ. Seems to be completely a ZDZ issue outside of Europe.

I am current looking at buying a large twin. I would be buying a zdz180 if it weren't for my ongoing service issues and all the other issues people seem to have had getting service. And yes I know some seem to run prefect and never need any service. But not all.

However, currently leaning towards other options.

I personally never want to lose most of season staring at a prime engine-less airframe ever again!

There may be a new MVVS north American distributor and actual service center coming before the summer is over
And he will be going to stock all the parts for them as well

That's all I can say

Now, with you two making those types of comments. I might speculate that I know this great guy. Correct?

Well nice weather, Arlene and I are going for a picnic. SukTwo style.

Dare I ask what you and Arlene do in SukTwo-Style? Please use judgement if too graphic, LOL

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Back to planes......

More specifically. 35cc airframes

What have you flown, what have you seen or seen fly ?

I am looking for one.

My current top 3 list in no particular order. I am open to other suggestions to research.

TOP 3:

3DHS 74 inch Extra 330sc
Aeroplus 76 inch Edge 540
Extreme Flight 78 inch Extra 300 ( had one before, was awesome )

I have also owned and flown....

71 inch 3dhs slick ( good plane )
72 inch Sbach 300 ( it was ok )
