The ignition on the DA as Will said is different the DA one uses a magnetic type sensor whereas the DL uses a Hall effect sensor....or visa-versa either way they are not inter-changable...Colin.

She's alive!!!! I installed my DL ignition with DL hall sensor set at 28degrees before TDC as per instructions from another fellow on another forum. A few flips with choke then a few more without and she fired right up. Hall sensor is mounted temporarily for now but I will make a new mount for it this week and should be flying it by next week. It was just nice to get it running. The DL ignition is made by rcexl which reads the signal a bit different hence the need to change the timing when switching over the ignitions. Installing a CH ignition would require the same setup. Thanks everyone for the help!!
