Help Please: Pica 1/5 Waco

I finally returned to building my Pica 1/5 Waco.

I traded for this kit with an older gentleman several years ago....

well....

There are quite a few ribs missing.... I've been able to extrapolate a few using the 'tweening' method and some painstaking guesswork but, I'm getting frustrated.

Has anyone built this kit and happened to trace the ribs?

Hi Jim,

I've never modelled the plane, but if you don't find some who can help, I might be able to offer some assistance.

It would be fairly easy to model the wing in full detail in 3D using the plan and existing ribs, then slice the wing up at the rib positions. I can then import the slices in to Adobe Illustrator and print out the ribs full size.

Let me know if you ever want to give it a try

Kewl

I've been using the tweening method (use a ribe from each side, split the difference, compare to plane, close one eye, cut oversize and sand later )

I've got most of the top wing ribs done now, there are some unusul construction techniques used that are slowing me down but, I'm past the frustrated point. Thanks for the offer, I'll consider it if I ever end up in this mess again.
