I'm hoping I may actually get my (3 year) f-16 to a flyable state, but like Marc I'm also about to kick off something new...

I'm going the long way around - scratch building! It is a long term project. By time it is finished we may be flying Ion engines or something.....

What am I building

HI all, I just finished my electric shock flyer last weekend and have been flying it every night after work, and must say a year ago I hated electrics.
As for building, last weekend I started my BVM F80 turbine and is coming along fine .I also have the BVM Aggressor 2 thats almost ready for colour, this will be my collectors jet to replace the Viper I lost years ago.

Hey Pipe,

I've got the exact same thing on the go, with a KJ-66 that I have yet to finish renovating... I've seen the F-18-single run on a (very) detuned RAM-1000 and it flew great. I think a 14lb turbine would do the plane well, but on grass an 18lb KJ-66 based engine would be perfect. If your on pavement, you may not need it for the takeoff, but the extra punch never hurts!

I still need to find the retracts, struts, wheels/brakes, fuel system, etc (and the spare cash for it...) so it may be a while yet.

Here's mine, along with another minor project to the left, a result of teaching my father n' law to fly...

Kelly

PS: hey Kevin, that's the wildest looking twin-Facet I've ever seen!

Kelly,
The F18 has been on my project list for many years but never materialized.
It wont be materialising yet either but is one of my favorite fighters.
