I received the drawings the other day for the Beaver. Very nice detail.
Looks like this will be one of my projects too.

Re: Mr Aerodesign DHC-2

Randy , Did you get the short kit as well as would be a lot of cutting , otherwise. The float install on my Aviation Beaver came with very little as far as English explanation . Half a dozen pages of pictures so its like moving around in a dark room... kinda have to feel your way around. Thank goodness I have some experience in scratch float builds
as that sure helps. Started a ( slow) build/assembly under Giant Scale in RCCanada.

It sure is one big bird.

Re: Mr Aerodesign DHC-2

Hi Peter, did your Beaver start out from a MR aerodesign kit? Arnold is into his build on his, but I will not receive one as a partial build in a couple of weeks.. I will ask you the same thing I asked Arnold, are all the surfaces sheeted , Looking at the pictures I have seen, I would be very surprised if they weren't sheeted . I guess I will find out in week or so,. I was looking for you at Kitchener, but didn't se you, aybe I missed or, you weren't there. Oh well, till we meet again, take care.. Al Harse, Bluewater RC flyers..

Re: Mr Aerodesign DHC-2

Al, the entire plane is sheeted. Wings, control surfaces, fuselage. There is a lot of wood in the box!

Re: Mr Aerodesign DHC-2

Hi Al.

Yes it was all sheeted. I fiberglassed the whole thing after sheeting. I made specials sheeting with corrugations to cover the control surfaces. Note that the Beaver aileron and flaps only have corrugations on the bottom!

Have fun. Peter

Re: Mr Aerodesign DHC-2

Sorry for the late reply Len,
No I did not get the short kit yet. I wanted to look things over before I take the plunge.
