It would be difficult with a 500 size but long electric flight times are possible. You would want a lower kv motor with a high rpm gearing. The idea is to make the motor do as little work as possible. Then you would need to use the longest blade you could easily spin and a really low head head speed with out inducing the toilet bowl wobble. A high Mah pack (or two in parallel) and you would likely only get a max of about 20-25 minutes in the air. Beyond that a gasser is your best bet for extended flight times.
