Just rolled the mighty Pontiac mini van into the driveway home from the Northern Ontario zone fly in Timmins.
Superlatives simply cant describe the whole show and I could not be more pleased or proud.
Primary credit goes to the Timmins Golden Hawks Club,all the volunteers, and particulary to all round spark plug and the hardest working guy of all those who pulled off the largest ever fun fly in our zone memory,Ron Roy.
We had perfect weather,fifty plus pilots with more than 75 models,prizes galore including something for each lady volunteer and all pilots capped by a really nice Extra 300 kit and a new Futaba puter radio.
Garry Tremblay wowed the judges with his latest scale masterpiece and won the coveted zone trophy for the second time!
Cecil rode shotgun with me,and guided us faultlessly and didnt even get mustard on my spotless white Soo Modelers T shirt.Thanks for a fun trip Cec.
Ended the day with a beer or two at Andrew Coholics place in company with his wife to be.They are to be married in three weeks and I am very pleased to see him so happy.
Sometimes this hobby sport supplies a perfect weekend and this was one of those times,except if Shania was there we didnt see her.
