What servo's you guy's running is this plane, and where did you get the ignition 3n1 voltage regulater, kill switch from. Thinking of ordering a slipstream mx2 from great hobbies. Thanks.

Re: S-Bach 300 30cc Peak Model

Here are some recent #'s.
Last weekend the DLE30 was spinning a Xoar 20x6 7350. Tons of power and verticle pull, although it wasn't a fast prop.
Yesterday I tried the Mej 19x8 Carbon prop. For my SBach, I think I like this prop better than the Xoar 19x8 and Xoar 20x6. In all fairness I haven't tried a Xoar 19x8 since the first couple of flights. So I would have to put one back on and try it again since the motor is starting to run stronger now. I sold the prop to a guy who needed one in a hurry. So I have to get another sometime to try again.
The Mej was spinning at 7490, consistently. I couldn't get it to break 7500. Maybe the next 1/2 gallon will get it there. It only has half a gallon through it now.

Now yesterday with the Mej 19x8, The plane was pulling stronger in my opinion.
The plane flew faster at lower throttle setting, and had more get up and go when I opened it up. It made the 20x6 feel like I was driving around in first gear all the time.
A few things that made me like the Mej better were:
It was more quite than the 2 Xoars I had run previously.
I put the plane in a hover and then punched it. It started climbing and accelerating sweet.... My SBach is 12 and half pounds and the 30 is pulling it like that on half a gallon ???? Can't wait to go through the second half.
Unfortunately at 6ozs of fuel per 12 minutes running and flying.....Its going to take weeks
Lastly, this is an important one......

Its sexy as as h#*! with the red and black colour scheme with carbon landing gear.

Myself, I am running Hitec 5985's on the ailerons and elevators and a 7954 on the rudder with a 225MG on the throttle.
The 5985's are not really necessary, I was originally planning just regular 985's.
Regular 985's are fast, strong and center very well. Even though they are not digital, they are coreless and work really really well.
I ended up using 5985's only because I dumb thumbed a larger plane and they were harvested from that.
The 7954 on the rudder is overkill, but I always like to have lots on the rudder. But thats just me.

I am not using the three in one Zeus regulator/kill switch. I have read to many mixed reviews and didn't want to try it at this time.
I used a heavy duty switch I bought at Sayal electronics. My optical kill switch is a 42% products i purchased from ThunderboltRC. The regulator is a standard run of the mill switching voltage regulator.

The cannister exhaust is a ZGR...China deal. I bought it through Johnny at Azure Hobbies.

Cheers

Peak Models out of New Zealand
http://www.peakmodel.net/

Took just under 2 weeks to receive

They are currently out of stock of 30cc SBach's

They have a nice looking MXS-r coming and just released some Slick-540's and stuff.

The prices on the web site are shipping included to your door. No brokerage, etc.

Keep in mind, there is also no manual included with their planes. At least there was no manual in mine.

Re: S-Bach 300 30cc Peak Model

Brad: I am up to 15 flights on my DLE 30 cc - rear carb - (Pilot R/C Yak 54). Use an Xoar 19X8 and am quite happy with the performance. I use Shell 92 Octane gas with Red Line Oil at 30 to 1 as recommended by DLE. I am still getting quite a bid of carbon from the exhaust which coats the underside of my plane and the horizontal stab on the muffler side. Are you having a similar problem? What oil are you using and are you at 30 to 1? Would appreciate your thoughts on this problem.

Re: S-Bach 300 30cc Peak Model

My DL 50 did the same thing for the first 1 1/2 gallons too , then it just stopped . I'm running it @ 32:1 .
