Slash 4x4 and MMP Combo over heating

Does anyone know if its possible to run the Mamba Max Pro combo in the slash 4x4 without it over heating (5700kv) Thats what I have in it right now I haven't ran it much but today I finally got it fixed up and ran it and temps were through the roof. So I read online and gearing etc etc. Apparently from my readings you have to put a MMM in it because the Slash 4x4 is heavy and has a very resistance drive train causing 1/10th stuff to over heat.

Thanks
-Tony

You will never be able to gear it with the 5700kv motor and not have heat... the 4500kv wouldn't be as bad but can still get warm. The ultimate combo is the MMP with a novak 4.5hv motor or the new novak ballistic 550 4.5v motor. I've got a 4.5HV motor waiting to go in just want to pick up my Tekin RS Pro.

Depends on the MMM motor you are talking about... but there are guys running 1/8 buggies with MMP and the 1/8 brushless motors. The extra plus to using the novak motors is they are sensored and allow for a more consistant throttle control specially at lower speeds.

Which connectors are you talking about, the sensor connector or the bullets?

Here's a link to the novak motors:http://teamnovak.com/products/brushl...550/index.html

And keep in mind these motors were specifically designed for the SC trucks.

Well the novak motors don't come with any connectors so you'll have to either direct solder the MMP to the motor or buy the proper size bullets and connect it that way.

BTW is that the pic of you ESC or just one you grabbed some place because the pic isn't of a MMP it is of a Mamba Max which are two very different ESC's.
