Venom vmx 450 r/c dirtbike
Has anyone else got one of these bikes? I got one last week and I finally have it assembled. It was only a few minutes to get it ready, I just couldn't get the time to do it.
First run was a disaster. I couldn't keep it upright and it was flipping in every direction. It looked like I was doing awesome freestyle, but I was trying to go straight. Then I decided to read the instructions(just a few lines). It said you have to hold the back wheel off the ground and spin it fast a few times. This gets the gyro spinning in the wheel. Then it just takes a little push and off it goes. Still quite wobbly and steering has to be gentle. I am getting better with it and it is going to be a blast. Check it out VENOM VMX 450 |

venom vmx 450
I just bought one, the thing is awesome what a great looking machine! It even makes a great looking static model. There is a few of us that have them here now and we're going to be racing them this summer at our local offroad track here in Bellevelle at the awesome Pro advantage facility. Going to be a blast to see some realistic motocross racing action!

It is a lot of fun. I have shipped a couple of them to Ontario, but I think I am the only one out west who has one. Be sure to check the slipper clutch. I blew up a lot of parts because I didn't take the time to notice that the slipper was tight. I was running it on grass also and the traction was excellent.

I see Venom is still finding ways to improve the VMX. I found some new Hop Ups.

Is Atomik taking over Venom? I noticed most of the product links on the Venom site take you straight to the Atomik site, and this bike looks identical (other than paint/graphics) to the VMX 450.

This bike is mostly the same as the VMX, with the exception of the new Electric Gyro. My sales rep told me the new bike is stable enough to run without guide wires. The E-Gyro will be available as an upgrade for the VMX. |
