Maidenfest 2013
When: April 27, 2013
Where: Keswick, Ontario Time: Pilots meeting: 9'30. Time for all to arrive, set up, tune engines, relax and meet new friends and reconnect with old. What do I need to bring: Your MAAC card, A plane to maiden. Who can attend: This is a closed event to the public. Bring yourself and pit crew but this is CLOSED to the public as defined by our MAAC safety code. This will be a sanctioned event. Well, its time MAIDENFEST 20113 time. With the blessing of both the MAAC safety chair and our current zone director. All issues from last year have been resolved and please plan to attend. You may ask yourself "How can I participate", Well this is open to all whom have built a plane this winter or renovated a plane this winter. It may have been flown already but must built this past winter to qualify. Where is it held you ask, At the newly renovated and soon to be one of the premier flying sites in Ontario, KESWICK, Ontario. Why would I want to attend: What better venue to maiden your newest winter creation? Lets say you spend all winter building your newest creation, A 25% gasoline powered plane but all you have ever flown is nitro powered smaller planes. It looks great to you and your local club members think it is a great build as well but all their experience is the same as yours. You feel great and they encourage you to test fly. Wind is good and you are full of confidence. Problem is that you have used the same servo's out of your .40 sized nitro plane and take off only to strip out a servo because its torque rating wasn't adequate enough. Not your fault you may have not known. Well, at maidenfest you have a large section of fliers that could look at it for you and offer advice from nice build, all looks good have a great flight or they could point out a few things from there knowledge and experience that may have saved a less than successful first flight. Anyone wanting a clear sky with no one else for first flight has the opportunity as the pit boss will clear the sky. Most of the day will be one plane in the air at a time anyway. No engines revving behind you as once the day starts and after the pilots meeting there will be running of engines until your turn to fly. Thus nothing to distract you from total concentration for a successful flight. There will be draw prizes through out the day and to enter all you have to do is fly. After you land you will be given a ticket for a draw prize that will be done through out the day. FOOD will be available from coffee most of the day starting by the time you arrive and the Ultimate burger is back, very popular last year. Don't know what an Ultimate burger is? Well, you better come, attend, and see. Other food items will be for sale as well. If you plane to attend let me know either by e-mail or post here and I will enter your name so others can see the who's who of modelling is coming. Perhaps see an RCC member whom you have been following their build thread. This is an event that you don't want to miss, If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to email me. Re: Maidenfest 2013
So the announcement of Maidenfest would indicate the problem that MAAC had with the First orignal event has be resolved?

Re: Maidenfest 2013
I'd like an answer to that as well? Maac insisted no test flights at an event and you are calling this an event , so no maac required or what?
