Question Carbon tubing wanted

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
I am looking for 1/4" carbon tubing as used in Laddies Shearwater wing joiners.
Can anyone suggest a supplier? I have never used this before so I am at a loss as to where I should be looking for a supplier. I am hoping some of the peoplethat are old hands with this stuff can point me in the right direction. Please bear in mind that most of my purchasing takes place on line.
Thanks
Lorne

Re: Carbon tubing wanted

Hi Lorne,

I'm looking for lightweight 1/4in tubes for tailbooms on a Vickers Gunbus I am building.

The CF arrowshaft tubes I have are just too heavy. I am researching getting lighter aluminum arrow shafts.

Could there be a source close to you?
(I think crossbow artists need stronger CF 'Bolt's too..)

Take care,
Have fun,

Re: Carbon tubing wanted

Hello Bear57:

I purchase all of my carbon fiber from Goodwinds Kites in Washington State. Great prices and the carbon stock comes in 4 foot lengths, but watch out for the shipping as it can be pricey; most economical shipping is via USPS.
