The $10 is probably for the postage only. If you sent a money order and it got lost, you can cancel/stop payment on the money order (either at the bank, or at Canada post if youmade a postal MO) and eventually get a refund. As long as you have your receipt... I did it before.

Ian,
Well, Kirkland Lake is about 7,000 people... so I guess living in a small town does sometimes have its advantages.

I have even told the parcel delivery guy that I am expecting a kit or other modeling stuff, and if it comes in on the transport on the weekend he will get it for me even though they dont deliver Sat or Sun.

I just give him a little something for Christmas to repay his good service

Refund

AJ

Yes, you are correct. if you have your receipt, you can get a refund, but you must allow a 30 day waiting period before claiming it as lost.

I Live in the same area as Ian Gunn does and I think Canada Post does a great job. If I phone a order into Great Hobbies in the morning and if they get it out that afternoon I'll have the parcel the next day at my house in Moncton. Who can complain about that.

canada post

Terry, nuttin'. Even have some cousins who are inside workers with CPC and the consencis seems to be that the delivery guys and carriers got ticked when they merged unions.I used to know a good chunk of the guys who worked our area. Some have retired and some moved to other routes. The new guys don't seem to want to wait.It could be as a result of unrealistic schedules that the copr.is setting. All I know is that when they don't even give you time to answer the door, there's something wrong.

PS- Mike, glad your getting great service but then again, you're retired.I'm still a working stiff.

Okay here is another expample: I ordered 2 props on June 1 from MSC props who are in Acton Ont and it was Hand-delivered to my door this morning at 9:30 am June 3 in Moncton via Expresspost. I think that was awesome service.

Ian: I think you better put the Canada Post guy on your christmas list.

I love small towns/communities. In Claremont, large parcels that can't be delivered in person are dropped off at the General store (which is also the post office and video store). The owner is even discrete enough to "forget" my packages when my wife picks up.
