Roughly a year has passed since I dedicated my workshop to home repairs in preparation for a selling / moving.

Today, I actually worked on a model airplane again. I thought I was going to come apart from withdrawl.

I managed to mount and fit the wings on my Waco that's been sitting for several years now.... hope to have her flying this years ... I love my new workshop!!!!

I'm jealous, my "building' has been confined to what I can do in my garage. Yes it's enclosed, but no it's not heated. Haven't made balsa dust since my wife outlawed doing it in the house a couple of winters ago!

Well Jim....I was wondering where you had dissappeared to. Hadn't seen any of your pearls of wisdom for quite some time.......

Thanks for that laugh nony.

I got halfway into some upgrades on the old house and we decided we'd outgrown it. I wound up having to prioritize the finishing of several projects that pushed me into dedicating my workshop for home repair. Not a nice way to spend a year, I was getting pretty irritable looking at unfinished aircraft begging for some work, knowing I had nowhere to work on them ( or would be castrated if caught working on them ).

Things are beginning to resume a new normalcy now. I'm starting a new job today, starting vacation in a couple weeks, the workshop is warm, and so is the hot tub. It's gonna be a great year!!!

Hope you had a good time. I was already feeling no pain by the time you arrived. I can't remember if I was a good host ... guess that's why you're thanking the missus.

You were a good boy, a little blurry eyed but good.

I was thanking Velda for letting you go play in your workshop.
I was getting tired of telling my Typhoon stories!

Chris

I never tire of airplane stories, especially building. If I can't be building, I enjoy building vicariously.

BTW, I finished the interplane strut mounts last night, now I can finish the leading edge sheeting... woohoo! back in the seat!
