I own both the Funtana and the Twist, and have found the Twist better at 3D, with the Funtana better at precision flying. Both are built and covered very well and light. Funtana is lighter than the Ucando 3D but on cloudy days the white Funtana can be hard to orient properly.

I have the U-CAN-DO 3D .46 with a cheap os .65 la in it and that thing hovers and climbs unlimited and it lands so slow you can almost catch it.I love it but I might try the funtana next it looks are nice too.

OK, did a little online shopping today. Here's what I looked at:
H9 Twist = $125 Funtana 40 = $205 Funtana 90 = $255 UCD 46 = $180 UCD 60 = $220 Razzle 60 = $200 Harrier 90 = $220 Price isn't really a factor. I expect to have the plane a long time. So it just needs to be something I will not tire of quickly (flying or looking at). The only constraint is it must utilize one of the engines I have available listed above. Decisions decisions decisions.

The engines you have are to small for a 90 size plane. While the would fly them you might as well have a trainer. The irvine on the twist would be good but a 60 size plane for your 75 may be the way to go.
The harrier and the Funtana require at least a 1.40 4 stroke or 1.20 two stroke for preformance. I know a guy with both and there are 6 funtana90's at my club. The elec one is cool but mucho deniro |

Well then, I guess I am down to three choices:
Twist + Irvine 53 U-Can-Do (60) + ST75 or the ST90 Funtana 40 + ASP91FS No one mentioned the UCD so I guess it is out. If I mention I would be also consider a semi-scale like an Edge or Cap does that open up some other options? whatodo whatodo whatdo :

I recently bought a Funtana .40.
I walked into my LHS and said that I was looking for a .40 size fun fly plane and they showed me the Funtana and the Twist. The Funtana is $100.00 more than the Twist in this particular hobby shop. I had them open both boxes and looked at both. I honestly felt that the Twist was a good plane for the money. However, comparing to the Funtana, it is my opinion that the Funtana looked more like an actual plane with it's lines and cowled engine. This was important to me. Prior to this, I flew a SIG Somethin' Extra which was a good flying plane but when you look at it, it looks like a trainer fuselage with a big thick wing. This may be why I was so bent on the appearance of the plane when I chose the Funtana over the Twist. I'm currently using an OS .50 SX (ringed) with a 12.25 X 3.75 prop. Thanks, Dave |

3D Plane
If you want something semi-scale look at the Pacific Aeromodel Edge 540T 40 its good for precision and isn't limited in 3D I will be getting mine soon all the reviews I have heard where nothing but good. Also look at the Kangke Fun 40 I have heard good review's about it to.

The website claims a weight of 6lbs. for the edge Is this the flying weight (engine, radio stuff, ect)? Also for 3d on a smaller scale plane the ailerons should come all the way or real close to the fuse and be much larger than scale. The tail surfaces must also be beveled for at least 40 degrees or more of deflection.
