Ed, thank-you for your contributions.
I did not qualify the topic to toy airplanes, so your opinion has merit. Like Dan, perhaps a Rum might help you focus. As I try and improve my descriptions from now on.

Ahh!! That really sucks! When I broke my reed, I called Tom and got him on the first call. He said he'd ship me a pair but I'd be cheaper getting a set of 250cc snowmobile reeds and just cut them to shape (which is what he does).... so next day went to Royal and had about 100 different types to choose from and was in the air the next day!

I'm thinking GP will be great also.

I have to give a honourable mention to my dla 112 that has never let me down or endangered any of my planes. Although I havent found a airframe that I'm brave enough to put it on. Looks good on the shelf.
Phil, great to have a member willing to speak the truth. From your point of view, yes "Your" DLA sounds wonderful. Or, you have us all fooled, and about 3 more posters will bring the young feisty Jack, to type!

I am glad that worked for you. I am not a small engine guy at all. I didn't even know what reeds did until that happened. I should have done some research and fixed it myself.

Oh well way in the past. I have wasted more money them that over and over again
