4CH or 6CH???

Hello guys I have got into R/C Heli's with the Micro Mosquito 3.0 and now the Micro Mosquito 4X4 getting used to 4CH controls. Now they are getting limited I do want to stay indoors and maybe go outside on calm days... I am wondering if I should start with the Lama v4 or Blade MCX. My main goal is to get into 3D flight. Should I skip the 4C and go right to a Walkera 4G3 or ESky 6CH Honey Bee King V2? Really interested in RFT only. Any suggestions on Helis that you like will also be considered (Under $200 with everything needed)

Also I am wondering what is the closest place to buy R/C Helicopters and accessories near Kitchener, ON thanks for the help

Re: 4CH or 6CH???

IMO You should buy a heli that you have parts support for. Most LHS have parts for Align, e-flite. I personally fly Align trex 450. I started with a Heli-max MX400 and I love it. I still have a Mx400 thats been converted to a 450. You can tone down these birds to fly mildly and can crank them up to do all the 3d you want. Personally I would not waist my money on a RTR. The only RTR i would look at would be the e-flite blade 400. So answer to your question, I would go 6 channel.

Re: 4CH or 6CH???

A good rule of thumb when buying a transmitter is to buy the 'BEST' and 'Biggest' radio that you can afford.

The idea is that you will have that Transmitter for years to come and your interests will be changing - SO - to ensure that you will not have to buy another transmitter NEXT YEAR.... buy a good one today, that has MORE features than you need -today.

SO; Buy the 6 channel, or 7 - but NOT the 4 Channel

Have a look at the HiTec Eclipse 7 (or whatever newer version is available), it handles Helicopters, Aerobatic planes, Flying wings, Biplanes, V Tails etc and it has the memory to accomodate seven different models... lots of choices.
