I would just like to remind everyone that when you are registering for ANY and ALL contests on the IMAC website to fill in your MAAC number in the section where it asks for AMA Number.

Just put ##### MAAC or MAAC ##### where it asks for AMA #.

I've received a few registrations for the Flying Tiger event that don't have a MAAC # entereed anywhere.

If you already registered you can go back to your individual contest registrations, click on the little pencil icon near your name and just enter your MAAC # in the AMA # and hit save it will update your registration and sent the update to the Contest Director.

Don't forget to also click on the judging seminar button which helps the CD in setting up judges for the contest. Personally I feel anyone in Sportsman should be available to judge up to Advanced and Intermediate up to Unlimited. Also all pilots should be available for scribbing duties which helps to learn how to judge (and makes the contests more enjoyable and make newbies feel involved).

Although I personally think it is a stretch to expect all pilots to judge two levels upwards, I do agree with the spirit of what Lee is saying, that we all need to improve our judging capacity.

As such, for those in Southern Ontario, (or our northern or eastern friends who are able to make the drive) we do have the judging seminar scheduled for Stoney Creek on April 18. Judges should not be judging if they do not have a good appreciation for the judging criteria and this is an ideal opportunity to improve your judging capacity.

You do not need to be a superstar pilot to become an excellent judge. Knowledge of the SA rules and how to apply them is imperative to improving your judging skills. If you are able we would be very happy to see you on April 18 in Stoney Creek.

Many thanks to those who have already signed up on the IMAC site. To those that have not signed up yet, please sign up at your earliest convenience so we can anticipate attendance and prepare accordingly. If you are not an IMAC member (yet) and wish to attend, please email / or PM me so we can add you to the list.

Re: Registering for Contests on IMAC Website

Bill, as I mentioned I am at the MAAC AGM that weekend, was looking forward to this. Any chance I can get a one on one from you coach?

Geez Frank.....kind of public isn't it ?? LOL

I felt bad about the conflict with the AGM. We were just tight with which weekends were going to work. Will have to give you a quick version sitting in the chairs under the canopy this summer.
