Hi there,
I'm new to helicopters and am wondering what type of Radio I should get.I did some reading on the DX7 and am leaning that way.But a friend mentioned I should check out a Futaba Faast radio.I'd greatly appreciate if some of you can give me your opinions?
Oh yeah,I have a T-Rex SE V1.

Another option would be a Hitec Aurora 9 2.4 radio or a Hitec optic 6 with the 2.4 module

Do a search on here, there was a multipage thread about the differences and preferences between spektrum and futaba.

Futaba fasst is easily the best rc link around. Spektrum dsm 2 vs futaba fasst in a very dirty rf enviroment and the spektrum will get locked out a lot, and the futaba won't even flinch. Futaba has been in the radio frequency business for a very long time, for rc and industrial purposes. As for programming, its personal preference as to what you want. A few friends have the aurora and love it. Its frequency hopping like the futaba fasst system

However, Spektrum has a lot going for it in terms of all the bind-n-fly aircraft available both for indoor and outdoor flying. Receivers are also more easily available and you can get cheap clone receivers suitable for indoor flying.

Also, the Spektrum remote receivers can be used directly with other devices.

I can't thank you guys enough!It seems like there are pros n cons for the both of them.I think I'll have to see which one I am the most comfortable with.Thanks again!
