My Father-in-law and I attended the Shootout and we had a great time. It was a very well-run event. Classy organizers, club and sponsors.

We cruised every hobby shop in Tucson before we found Hobby Barn, run by Billy Hemple's parents. Mrs. Hemple gave my Father-in-law a free T-shirt 'cus he had a little 'incident' with a full coffee cup and a lead-footed son-in-law earlier that day.

Oh - and I walked away with the 42% Aerotech Extra and DA-150 in the grand prize raffle. Didn't ruin my trip one bit! I still can't believe it.

Brian Huffmeier and the folks at DA graciously agreed to pack it up for me and organize transport. What a nice bunch of people.

I agree about the Wildberry DVD - a must-have.

All-in-all a pretty good trip

KD,

So since you are going to have the Equipment... might ronm see you at some IMAC events in BC next year?

Congrats... don't tell me the tickets were only $5 and you bought one and walked away with all that!

The tickets were $10, or 12 for $100. I split a dozen tickets with my Father-in-law.

Actually I already have a 40% RadioWave Extra and I just sold my 33% AW Edge. I was thinking of getting my feet wet in IMAC this year but I didn't get off my butt this winter to get my planes ready in time, plus the weather this season was brutal. After finally getting my 3W-150 to run properly I have been practicing the Sportsman sequence. I would really like to get some tips from some experienced IMAC pilots.

Of course now I only need to convince my wife that I need a trailer...

It's Heeeere

It arrived on Dec. 23rd. Bax Global had a little trouble getting the documents to my broker and Canada Customs took 4 days to clear it, but everything looks good.

Major props to Brian Hueffmeier at Desert Aircraft for packing and shipping it to me. What a great outfit.

Anyone need a rather large crate and a billion styrofoam popcorns?

IMAC in Alberta

Hey KD, or should I say Keith ? I did a little investigating & got your name from your website. Are there others in Calgary and area who share your interest ? At the present, I have the interest to move into Scale Aerobatics, I have flown Pattern in the past, had to take a few years off. I have had some prelim communication on RCC with the guys around Grande Prairie & there is some interest there. I intend to feel out some of the others in our club and area to see if I can get something significant happening. At the present, the closest Western contest is in the works at Kelowna, but it would be great to be able to have contests closer to home.

Let me know, Boomer
