Can you use three cell lypo on a 500 size heli
I am going to change my 600 over to six cell which leaves me 10. 4000mha that I was using in series and want to separate into single batteries. Has anyone used 11.1 volt 4000mha lypos on a 500 and if so how did you like it? I fly sport only and not well at that, to me a stable hover is exciting. Any and input is welome on this, thanks

Im not saying that you couldnt use 4000mah packs on a 500 size, but from experience I'd say it may be pretty tough to fit them under the canopy of a trex 500 or a gaui 425 hurricane.
Finding a motor with a high enough kv and be able to gear it to get a good headspeed might be tough as well. I'd recomend running 6s lipos from 2200-3000mah. These seem to be the norm and arent too expensive. |

Don't take this as a valued opinion but the Frankenstein Blakehawk I'm building is going to use a 3s 3600mah 20-30C. I have the wrong motor at the moment but it spools up a 1400kv scorpion 80Amp nicely lol. It needs a 3000kv motor. Im not getting the head speed needed.
