Trex 600e v2 motor
So I won a bid on eBay for a new Trex 600e. Go figure. Now I need a motor for her. I want a 12s motor for it. Any suggestions?

What are you doing with it? Scale or 3D as that will make a small change in motor kV requirements. Stock 3D for the 600E Pro is 510kV and that would be the 600MX motor. You could easily go with the Scorpion HKIII-4025-550KV (6mm) motor with the appropriate pinion. The 600MX 510 kV motor also uses a long 6mm shaft because of a support bearing system in place, which might require you to shorten it for installation in the 600E chassis but maybe not. Scale use may need you to look for lower kV motors but I am having good success with the stock motor 12s 510kV motor and an 11T pinion to get my rpm range from 1400 to 1650. Watch getting too much battery weight out front on the 600E chassis as it will be hard to balance. Take care.

Thanks Don. I like flipping the heli around a bit but no extreme 3D yet. I want to make sure I have no bogging at all while flying. I have the 120HV sitting here collecting dust which I will use with this setup. What mod is the main gear on the v2? Still .7 mod?

That, I don't know. If it is the slant gear 112 main, it will most likely be Mod 1. If it is the 170 straight, it will still be the Mod .7. Take care.

I've been reading up on the KDE 530kv. Wow quite the little powerhouse! With a continuous 3400w and a 7500w peak you should be able to run that bad boy hard!

I have the KDE 700-495 on my Compass 7HV and it will literally pull stumps with 10,000 watts running 12S. Those KDE motors are awesome.
