standard prop vs slow flyer

My latest project is a flitetest f22 raptor. My first foamboard scratch build. The motor faces the back of plane.
my question is what is the difference between a regular electric pusher prop and a slow flyer pusher prop? Looks like the slow flyer is wider?
if its any help i plan on running a sunnysky angel 1260kv motor and was going to use a 8x6 apc.

My second question is can i just put a regular prop on backwards? Or would that be to inefficient.

any help or advice would be great! This is my first pusher type plane.

Re: standard prop vs slow flyer

Slow fly props are designed to move more air... which means the motor works a bit harder (more amps) and they turn slower.

Any prop can be a pusher, but you never turn the prop around or mount it backwards. The letters will always face forward ... toward the direction of flight. Think of the prop simply moving from the front of the plane to the back of the plane. At most, you might need to reverse any two wires on the brushless motor to spin the prop in the right direction.

Re: standard prop vs slow flyer

Slowfly props are made for low kv motors. They cant handle the high rpm for long, you will see white stress marks by the prop base before long. I looked up the motor spec and the site stated 8x4 so you may be pushing it.
As mentioned already, always have the numbers on the prop facing forward. Having the motor in front of the prop doesn't change this fact.

Cheers,
